Active Minds: Merrimack College Chapter

Concept - This project involved designing Instagram graphics for Active Minds, a student club at Merrimack College focused on promoting mental health awareness. The graphics aimed to engage students, share resources, and spread positive messaging about mental health in a visually appealing and relatable way.

Target Audience - The target audience included Merrimack College students, faculty, and staff, with a focus on young adults interested in mental health advocacy and peer support.

Role in Project - My role in this project was to create eye-catching and informative Instagram graphics that aligned with the club’s mission and resonated with the campus community. This included designing content for event promotions, mental health tips, and awareness campaigns.

Skills - I used my graphic design skills to develop cohesive layouts, select impactful typography, and incorporate on-brand colors and imagery that aligned with Active Minds' identity. My work balanced aesthetic appeal with clear communication to ensure accessibility and engagement.

Challenges + Successes - A challenge was ensuring the designs were engaging while maintaining sensitivity around mental health topics. A key success was creating visually appealing graphics that successfully increased awareness and engagement with Active Minds' initiatives across campus.
